!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! of being garbage , my girlfriend’s flight is currently grounded due to maintenance issues and they can’t find a new plane to use. I have never heard of a North American airline having so many issues on the same route .

Alask a out of SF has had horrendous issues. The merger with Virgin was a disaster and I don’t think maintenance has really recovered. My latest on time flight with them was a pure anomaly.

No need. We work very hard to make the experience a positive one, but bad days happen. The regional flights offered by our partners are a challenge. We put our name one the plane though, so if they don’t hold up their end of the bargain it is on us. The data still shows that your best choice, even if it is a regional, is with us. Doesn’t make your GF’s day any better though.

Fair enough on the stats. And it just always seems to be this leg that has problems every time she flies it. Plus, I totally understand the logistical nightmare that is this time of year.

Dude...Delta is far and away the best of the legacy carriers. Not just in stats, but also in anecdote. United and American are far worse on almost every metric.
I try to stick to Southwest, then Delta . I’ve literally never had one problem with SWA . Knock on wood.
I’ve never NOT had a bad experience on UA or AA.

She will get a survey via email. Make sure she fills it out. In the comments section have her include previous delays with flight numbers and dates. These do get read. We canned one of our regional carriers this year due to underperformance. We keep track of the data, but hearing from the customers carries weight as well.

I’ll take delta and Alaska over any of the other majors any day.
